Research and Publications
Involvement in research is an important educational opportunity for our residents. The concepts of study design and data analysis gives one a better critical understanding of the current literature. We have found that involvement in research makes for better evidence-based clinicians and competitive fellowship candidates.
Dr. James Anasti, the program director, has extensive bench top and clinical research experience obtained from his six years at the National Institute of Health. He is familiar with study design and hypothesis generation. In addition, our hospital research department has a fulltime biostatistician to help with complex data analysis and presentation.
Over the years our mentoring physicians from REI, MFM, and Urogynecology have helped our residents with many different types of research projects. Listed below are recent national presentations and publications from our residents.
