Research

Header

The St. Luke’s Sports Medicine Fellowship currently is structured with a heavy emphasis on the clinical aspects of sports medicine. The resources will be provided for our sports resident to participate in the annual AMSSM Sports Medicine Research Conference sponsored by the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM), as well as the AMSSM and American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting.

In addition, we certainly encourage and provide support for our fellows to design and implement their own research protocols. Our close relationship with East Stroudsburg University, DeSales University and Northampton Community College, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts and the Parkettes National Gymnastics Training Center, all situated within minutes from the St. Luke’s University Hospital – Bethlehem Campus, offers a fertile opportunity for development of research projects, and several research endeavors are currently under way in our department.
